I have been making custom arrows for a number of years after shattering quite a number of port oxford cedar and carbon fiber shafts. It seemed worth while to learn the craft of turning my own arrow shafting and learning to fletch. In the near future I will begin to sell limited quantities of fletched Ash or Hickory arrows. I will be able to offer a number of fletching options along with a wide variety of tips along with some different knock choices.
I do not test the spine weight of arrows I make, I shoot them with a 32# bow up to a 90# bow with only minor variations of flight characteristics. I use ash or hickory for the shafts to make 3/8" diameter arrows and plan on offering some 1/2" diameter shafting for war bow arrows soon.
