End of January production update:

I’m starting on some 1.5” diameter maces. Hopefully I will have four available in about two weeks. If you’re interested in one, shoot me an email and I can set up the head and handle to your specifications. This size mace can vary in price from $300 to $375 depending on options.

Updating the blog….

with Facebook and Instagram algorithms doing weird things with my posts, I think it’s time to revisit utilizing this blog to update folks on product updates and probable production forecasts.

Damasteel Hammer Pendants

I am thinking of offering one or both versions of this pendant as a pre order in early June. The Bluetongue pendant will be slightly modified. I should be able to offer some material options for handles and contrasting collars.

Snow days

Had some shop delays since western NC got a foot of snow. As a bonus yesterday the power was out and today the internet is out. Normal shop activities will resume as soon as possible.

Is anyone interested in some Ash arrows?

IMAGE.JPG

While vending at the West Asheville Medieval Market I was surprised by the interest in the arrows I have made in the past and the bows I shoot with. I'm thinking about making some arrows for sale in the near future.

I generally make my arrows from 3/8" diameter ash with a parallel shaft and use commercially available fletching and field points and cut them to the correct length. I've done a couple small runs of tapered shaft arrows on the nock end. Each arrow is made by hand, from selecting the lumber, turning it into dowels, fletching, and installing the nocks and points.

Since I make the arrow shafts I have plenty of control on what will pass muster and also the ability to make special orders, i.e. non standard lengths and diameters, different tapers, and other assorted details.

Please post if you have any interest or want to let others know.

Working on a sterling chain.

1/8" diameter, 20 gauge fused fine silver rings on the outside; 5/32" diameter, 18 gauge sterling on the inside. Each sterling ring gets soldered. The smallest solder pieces get used for this chain. It'll be Japanese 6in1 when it's done/wider.
